Glavine comes oh so close to a no-no

Tom Glavine came close to tossing the first no-hitter by a NY Met. It came in a week that saw Randy Johnson throw a perfect game against the Atlanta Braves. The 38 year old Glavine saw his bid for the no hitter quashed by Colorado Rockies first baseman Kit Pellow who singled off the veteran lefty in the bottom of the 8th inning. Glavine though became the 26th Met to throw a one-hitter in the team's history.
